Transversal Mainstreaming Focal Person (TMFP)

The Gauteng Provincial Legislature requires the services of an TMFP to provide specialist guidance, leadership and support to the GPL by:

  • Establishing and implementing mainstreaming guidelines for the Gauteng Provincial Legislature for the development of policies, procedures, programmes, projects and practices.
  • Enhancing the achievement of equality through compliance with National and International obligations.
  • Building capacity for gender responsive budgeting in the GPL.
  • Recommending interventions for the purpose of meeting the practical and strategic transversal needs of women and men, youth and people living with disability in the workplace.
  • Facilitating the implementation of the Institutional and Programme processes, directives and pronouncements to support the political mandate of the Members of the Legislature through integrated, collaborative initiatives with relevant stakeholders.

Prospective applicants should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Matric
  • A Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification in Social Science / Public Health / Public Administration / Political Science or any relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ working experience in gender, youth and /or people living with disability mainstreaming.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ senior management experience within the broader public sector.

Legislature Services Board (LSB) Coordinator

Gauteng Provincial Legislature needs an LSB Coordinator to provide coordination, logistic, administration support to all meetings of the Office of the LSB Secretary i.e. LSB strategic review sessions, Board and sub-committee meetings, stakeholder engagement meetings, internal office meetings. To coordinate inputs from other programmes of GPL including administration and inputs to the institutional calendar.

Prospective applicants should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • A recognized 3-year National Diploma or Equivalent NQF6 as a minimum qualification in one of the following disciplines, Public Administration, Office Administration.
  • A Postgraduate qualification in any subjects relating to Public policy will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 4 years working experience in a Coordination, Logistical and Administrative support environment at all levels.
